Glossary: botryoidal

A botryoidal mineral habit is one in which the mineral has an external form composed of many rounded segments, named for the Ancient Greek ?????? (bótrus), meaning "a bunch of grapes".
The two semi-spheres are botryoidal calcite crystals.
This “bubbly” piece is botryoidad fluorite.
The bubbly surface in the background is also botryoidal.
